This Services Catalogue Prototype was implemented by GIM - Geographic Information Managment nv - as part of the ESIT Project. This service was developed with a view of validating the use of the ISO Metadata application profile of CS-W for discovery of Earth Observation Collection metadata and HMA services. The Service allows to search on dataset collections over a specific Area Of Interest. Based upon the returned collection Identifiers, one can then search for the services that "Operate on" the collections. Alternatively, one can search on the properties of the services directly.

MIDAS is a 'one-stop shop' for companies and online services needing easy and efficient online access to weather information. MIDAS provides online access to a rich set of dynamic weather forecast, satellite nowcast and marine environmental information for easy real-time integration into third-party end-user applications and web services. MIDAS provides two simple to use IP-based APIs to support the inclusion of its content: a simple HTTP-based OGC-compliant interface, and an XML-based interface supporting more complex data retrieval requests.

The overall goal of the project OK-GIS is the development and implementation of an open concept for the administration, usage, visualization and mobile acquisition of geographic information. This will be based on open standards set by the Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) for web-based GI services. The free software components being developed by each of the project partners will be joined to a prototypical disaster management system. This will show the potential of such a system even on heterogeneous devices (mobile or desktop-PC).
