4th February 2010, deegree graduated OSGeo incubation

19th August 2009, deegree 3 nightly builds available
The development of deegree 3 is going along quite well and we think the time has come to suply nightly builds for all deegree enthusiasts who are not able or willing to build deegree 3 with the provided scripts, but are interested to check out the current status of the project. Please be aware that deegree2 is still the recommended and stable deegree version, and deegree3 is still in pre-beta phase concerning most functionalities. 9th July 2009, deegree day 2009: presentations and photos online
deegree day 2009 was the fourth deegree day in a row and provided interesting talks, workshops and tutorials. Please visit our dedicated deegree day 2009 website to get the latest news. This years deegree day and "Openstreetmap im Rheinland" took place in Bonn on May 26th and 27th 2009. The presentations and photos of both events are online. We thank all speakers and participants for contributing to the success of the events.
30th March 2009, deegree at the FOSS4G 2009
deegree will be present on the FOSS4G 2009. FOSS4G is the largest international conference for free and open geo-software and geo-data. Since 2006 this conference is hosted by the Open Source Geospatial Foundation (OSGeo) at different places each year. In 2009 the conference is taking place in Sydney, Australia. Amongst others there will be a tutorial on deegree iGeoDesktop.
16th January 2009, deegree day 2009 - Call for Papers
deegree day 2009 is the fourth community event in a row of successful meetings among the deegree user and developer community. Take the chance and submit a proposal for either a short talk or for hosting a tutorial on a special deegree-related topic. We invite speakers presenting innovative and/or business-critical applications based on deegree. Discuss your findings with the deegree community, the core developers and other interested parties. Presentations will be limited to 20 minutes (plus discussion) while tutorials may take 30 or even 45 minutes. Presentations will be reviewed by two peers and may be submitted in English or German language. Your abstract should not exceed 500 words and must be submitted by March 15th, 2009. Accepted abstracts will be published on the event website incl. your presentation. The deegree 2.2 stable release is now available.
15th December 2008, deegree day 2009 on May 26th and May 27th
The yearly community meeting of the open source project deegree is going to take place for the forth time on May 27th in Bonn, Germany. Major project activities during the last year were coordinate transformation, meta data management, the incubation process with OSGeo, as well as the new deegree3 components Web Processing Service and Sensor Observation Service. These, as well as other issues will be subject of the lectures and discussions or deegree day 2009. Participation will be free of charge - thanks to the support of our sponsors. You are invited to hold a lecture or offer a tutorial on deegree day. Presentations and tutorials should be of general interest to the participants of deegree day and should focus on aspects of the deegree project. On May 26th, the pre-conference day, advanced topics workshops will offer the possibility to gain active insight in special deegree applications. Guided by an experienced user or developer and supported by practical examples you will be able to increase your deegree knowlegde significantly. Participation in these workshops is subject to a fee. In addition a free beginners workshop will offer an opportunity to take first steps in using deegree. Today, we are happy announce that all presentations are available for download at http://deegreeday.deegree.org. We also provide you with the pre-release software iGeoDesktop, with the results of the questionnaire, and with some impressions from the event in the gallery.
